Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray and set aside.

Step 2: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, grated onion, garlic powder, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined. Form the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 ½ tablespoons each.

Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides, then transfer them to a plate and set aside.

Step 4: Cook the egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water for two minutes less than the package directions. Drain and set aside.

Step 5: In the same skillet used for meatballs, add beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan and simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.

Step 6: Spread the cooked noodles in the prepared baking dish. Arrange the meatballs over the noodles and pour the sauce evenly over the top. Sprinkle with grated Swiss cheese.

Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 8: Remove from the oven and let the casserole sit for about 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Step 9: Serve hot and enjoy this comforting Swedish Meatball Noodle Bake!
