BREAKING NEWS! Horrific accident
At least 15 people tragically lost their lives in a devastating accident on Thursday in Manitoba, Canada. The crash occurred when a bus, transporting elderly passengers, collided with a truck at an intersection near Carberry, about 170 kilometers west of Winnipeg.
The bus was carrying its passengers to a casino in Carberry at the time of the incident. Rob Hill, Deputy Police Officer and commander of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba, confirmed, “At least 15 individuals were pronounced dead as a result of the collision.”
Ten others are currently being treated in the hospital for injuries. Both drivers survived the accident, but authorities have not yet determined or disclosed who was at fault. Harrowing images from the scene showed wreckage, including wheelchair seats and walking frames, scattered near tarpaulins covering the bodies.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his condolences, offering his thoughts to the injured and to the families mourning their loved ones. Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson also shared her sympathy for the victims and their families.
This incident stands as one of the deadliest accidents in recent Canadian history, recalling a similar tragedy in 2018 when 16 people were killed in a collision in Saskatchewan. These heartbreaking events serve as stark reminders of the critical need for caution and responsibility on the roads to help prevent future tragedies.
